The congregation of Holy Trinity Church in Yockleton were fascinated to see themselves featured in a version of a Provencal crib painstakingly created and painted by Sheila Crowther. We had great fun in identifying all the various characters. The Rector Rev Chris Bull, Rev Christine Withers and Reader Christine Jones were portrayed as the wise men and the remaining congregation are depicted making their way to the crib under the title ‘Suivez l’Etoile’ (Follow the Star). Also featured was Holy Trinity Church with its recently restored spire, together with Trinity Tots, and Bessie the donkey who leads our Palm Sunday procession. All are set against a background of surrounding hills, Pontesford Hill, The Stiperstones, Bromlow Callow and the Breiddens. It was a wonderful display which created a great deal of interest in the way Sheila incorporated all those involved in the life of our Church.
